Apart from the chance to relax and get to know its great ancient history, Greece gives you the opportunity to tour in Byzantine churches and monasteries, to admire great works of religious iconography and kneel before holy pictures and relics (the remains of a saint’s body).

Day 1: Transfer from the airport and check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free for your first contact with the city of Loutraki.

Day 2: Trip to Meteora

Start at the hotel early in the morning.

Arriving at Kalambaka we see the huge and impressive rocks, on which the second most important conventual unit in Greece is built. We will have the opportunity to visit one of these monasteries, to get to know the daily life of the monks and to kneel before holy relics experiencing the sublime. On the way back there will be a stop at the town of Kalambaka.

Return to the hotel late at night.

Day 3: Trip to St. Patapios (Loutraki)

Start at the hotel after breakfast.

Just before the top of Gerania Mountain, rules the monastery of Saint Patapios, in which lies intact the miraculous relic of the Saint. The nuns can tell you all about the history and the Saint’s miracles and supply you with holy images and charms. After enjoying the magnificent view, comes a tour to Lake Vouliagmeni, the Lighthouse and the archaeological site of Heraion.

Return to Loutraki early in the afternoon. In your free time you can choose between a relaxing or healing spa program, a walk down the pedestrian zone by the beach or a visit to the city churches, especially the temple of Holy Mary- the Healer, with its miraculous holy image*.

Day 4: Trip to Kalavryta

Start at the hotel early in the morning.

First stop at Diakopto train station, the start of the route of the special train, “Odontotos”(Cog Railway), for a magical journey over Vouraikos River , arriving at the picturesque village of Kalavryta.

You can enjoy your coffee, walk the paved streets of the village and buy handmade local products.

Then we visit two of the greatest temples, with important history throughout the centuries and famous reputation, Agia Lavra and the Great Cave. In both monasteries you can find unique preserved heirlooms, relics and gospels.

Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

 Day 5: Free day.

Take a last walk by the sea, buy souvenirs for your loved ones and take pictures of the wonderful images of the area.
