«Archontiko Kefalari» is situated in the village of Kefalari Korinthia, at 800m altitude and under the shadow of the plane tree by the main square and the stone-built church. Its story begins when in 1880, Georgios Roumpekas, resident of Kefalari built this special building paying particular attention to its architectural style, in the shade of a perennial tree next to the central square of the village.

The passing of time has made «Archontiko Kefalari»  all the more charming, and all the elements that made it special in the 19th Century have remained intact: the hand crafted stones, the specially selected wooden details, the individually crafted iron corners, the arches, the internal patio, and the 90 cm thick walls.

Every room has its own particular style, though all the rooms share common characteristics such as vintage colors, stone walls, wooden flooring and ceilings, hand crafted furniture, vintage iron beds, fireplaces, art works and romantic style details, harmoniously combining the aesthetic and the architectural feel of the guest house. In the rooms you shall find Satin and cotton bed sheets Guy Laroche, latex Pillows, duck feather duvets, anatomic Mattresses, cotton Towels and bathrobes Guy Laroche, slippers, olive oil beauty products and hair drier. They also include: LG flat screen television, fireplace and woods, water massage cubicle, autonomous boiler for heating and hot water supply, air conditioning and mini fridge.

The guest house offers 10 specially created rooms and can offer up to 27 beds. The various rooms of the guest house are named inspired by the Greek Mythology: Erato, Polymnia, Melpomeni, Kleio, Thaleia, Ourania, Kaliopi, Terpsichori, Efterpi and Muses.

Every morning you are welcomed to enter the «Archontiko Kefalari’s» kitchen and watch the preparations of the  traditional hand made breakfast, which is going to be served at a monastery dining table under an old mirror.

There is a lounge place for you with a traditionally built fire place that keeps the space warm, creating a cozy feeling, where you can enjoy your coffee or your drinks gazing at the flames and casually chatting. There is a variety of books, magazines, board games, and music CDs that can accompany your stay at the guest house.
