At the foot of Gerania Mountain and at the point where the mountain meets the Corinthian Gulf a natural lake is formed. It was formed after a landslide and joins the sea through a narrow channel. The blue waters blend harmoniously with the green of the pine trees and that beauty gets even more complete by the sights of the ancient temple of Hera and the noble Lighthouse.
The water of the lake is naturally clean as it refreshes every eight hours from the waters of the Corinthian Gulf. Strong wind rarely blows there, so the lake is ideal for swimming, diving and other water sports. On the lake shore you will find many taverns and cafes, and there are also many hiking or bike riding trails for the nature lovers.
